Home improvement contractor accused of fraud again – Pittsburgh Post

A Munhall home improvement contractor with a history of fraud complaints and arrests has been charged again with taking homeowners’ money and not performing the work he said he would do.

Robert Sippos, 58, doing business as R.S. Sippos Associates, is charged with theft by deception, credit card fraud, deceptive business practices and home improvement fraud in connection with complaints from several customers dating to 2008. Mr. Sippos was arrested in Westmoreland County on similar charges in 2010, and district attorney’s detectives said he has a long history of civil complaints for accepting down payments on work and then not completing the job.

Mr. Sippos is free on his own recognizance pending a hearing before District Judge Richard Olasz on Aug. 11.
